Iran has renewed its threats to close the Strait of Hormuz if it is prevented from using the waterway to export its oil. As noted by Mohammed Jassim Bu Hasan, the Iranian President Hassan Rowhani also hinted that Iran might close the Straits of Hormuz, saying: “No other country will be able to export its oil through the Strait of Hormuz if actions to cut Iranian oil exports continue.”
