Member of the Board of Trustees Dr. Khalifa A. Alfadhel is an Assistant Professor of Public International Law in the University of Bahrain. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development since 2015 and a member of the British Human Rights Lawyers Society, the Royal Society for Asian Affairs and the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies. He has represented the Bahraini civil society in numerous Human Rights conferences in Geneva and was previously elected Chairperson of the College of Law Society and Member of the University of Bahrain Student Council. Dr. Alfadhel holds a PhD in the Philosophy of Law and an LLM in International Law from the University of Leeds, UK, in addition to an LLB from the University of Bahrain. Dr. Alfadhel has published numerous articles about Bahraini and GCC current affairs in international media outlets, and his current academic interests are in the fields of contemporary political philosophy and international human rights.
