A report on The Impact of the COVID-19 Crisis on Central Bank Digital Currencies and Financial Technology

Bahrain Center for Strategic, International & Energy Studies (Derasat), publishes a report titled “The Impact of the COVID-19 Crisis on Central Bank Digital Currencies and Financial Technology” by Dr. Fatima Al Sebaie. The report highlights highlights the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the projects of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and the future of financial services, by providing general inferences on the attention of some central banks and financial institutions to CBDCs and FinTech solutions amid the crisis, and the future prospects in this regard, in addition to pointing out significant issues that require consideration from GCC countries, based on future expectations.
