Bahrain Strategic, International and Energy Studies Centre (DERASAT), will organise in cooperation with the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre (KAPSARC) a workshop entitled “Connecting East and West Asia: The benefits of mutual interdependence.”
The workshop will be held with the participation of a group of economic relations and energy experts from East Asia and the Arabian Gulf, on May 13.
A brief will be given by a number of DERASAT’s researchers about the future and nature of economic relations between East and West Asia, particularly Asian countries’ major reliance on the Gulf oil. The workshop will address how it is possible to strengthen future cooperation’s economic ties and development opportunities.
The workshop is the second in a series of workshops hosted by Bahrain in order to gather researchers from East and West Asia, as the first workshop in the series was held in Hong Kong on January 2015.
