Derasat’s Board of Trustees Holds its First Meeting

Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT) board of trustees convened today for its first meeting.

Chaired by Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the session was also attended by board members Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, Dr, Khalifa bin Ali Al Fadhel, Hussein Mohammed Rajab, Dr. Ahmed Hasehm Al Youshea, Dr. Shaikha Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and executive director Dr. Hamad Ibrahim Abdulla.

DERASAT Chairman extended deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for issued Royal Order 27 of 2021 on restructuring the board, hailing royal vision to achieve wide-ranging sustainable and knowledge-based development

He paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his support of scientific research as a cornerstone and driving engine to achieve sustainable development, whose windfall would further citizens’ wellbeing and enhance the quality of public services..

The panel reviewed the topics and events featured on the meeting agenda, as well as past achievements, and was updated about Derasat planned programmes and researchers’ contributions.
