His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies “Derasat,” announced the appointment of Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ahmad as the Executive Director of the Center.

On this occasion, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa welcomed Mr. Abdullah Al-Ahmad and congratulated him on assuming the position of Executive Director, expressing his full support and encouragement to continue strengthening the prominent status of the “Derasat” Center. This, he noted, would contribute to enhancing its role and credibility as a comprehensive research institution and an international think tank. His Excellency also wished him success and prosperity in his new role.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees also praised the significant contributions of Dr. Hamad Ibrahim Abdullah, the Center’s former Executive Director, whose efforts had a great impact on advancing the organization at all levels. He wished him continued success in his future responsibilities.

It is worth noting that Mr. Abdullah Al-Ahmad has an outstanding professional record, with diverse experiences and notable achievements. He possesses extensive expertise in research work and is considered a valuable addition to the mission of the “Derasat” Center.
