Mr. Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed is the Executive Director of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), prior to which he progressed through several distinguished positions in the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Supreme Council for Defence General Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Bahrain Defence Force. He holds two master’s degrees from Regent’s University London in the United Kingdom – an MA in International Relations and another in International Non-Governmental Organizations, besides a BA in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent in the UK. He completed his military training at ‘The Citadel’ – The Military College of South Carolina – in the United States. He attended and took part in numerous international conferences, workshops, alliances, and committees, and has a wide network of international relations acquired during his previous work tenures. In 2018, his idea won the inaugural Government Innovation Competition (Fikra), launched by His Royal Highness the Crown and Prime Minister, involving (Work from Home), chosen by the ministerial committee and scoring the highest public votes. He holds numerous certificates and completed courses in mediation, negotiations, crisis management, foresight, and international project management.
