Tunisian President Receives Derasat Chairman at Carthage Presidential Palace

Tunisian President, Beji Caid Essebsi, received at Carthage Presidential Palace the Board of Trustees Chairman of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT), Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who conveyed to him the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and best wishes for constant progress and prosperity to the Tunisian people.

The Tunisian President welcomed Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and asked him to convey his greetings to HM the King, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, as well as his best wishes for more progress and prosperity to the Bahraini people. He took pride in the deep-rooted historic fraternal relations between Bahrain and Tunisia and their growth in all fields. He recalled the successful visit he made to the Kingdom in January 2016, reiterating Tunisia’s support to all measures taken by Bahrain to boost its security and stability. He also affirmed solid ties binding the two brotherly countries and common keenness to further bolster them in all fields. He praised the bright model of Bahrain under the leadership of HM the King.

The Tunisian President hailed cooperation between the Tunisia Institute for Strategic Studies (ITES) and DERASAT to cope with regional changes that require rallying ranks and joint action.

On his part, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa expressed thanks and respect to the Tunisian President for his keenness to bolster relations with Bahrain, commending bilateral cooperation. He pointed out the royal assertion of the role of the Arab intellectual centres in mapping out academic and practical strategies to confront security challenges and foster moderation and tolerance.
