Tunisian President Receives Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa at Carthage Presidential Palace

Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi received at Carthage Presidential Palace the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

 

During the meeting, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Tunisia and His Majesty’s wishes of continued progress and prosperity to the President and the Tunisian people.

The Tunisian President welcomed Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and asked him to convey his greetings to His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, as well as his best wishes of more progress and prosperity to the Bahraini people.

 

President Al-Baji Caid Essebsi expressed pride in the deep-rooted historic relations and close brotherly ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and his country, which is witnessing further development and growth in all fields and spheres.  He recalled in this regard his successful visit to the Kingdom in January 2016 and its positive and fruitful results, calling it a significant boost to bilateral relations. He reiterated Tunisia’s support to all measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to safeguard its security and stability

 

The Tunisian president stressed the strong relations between the two brotherly countries and the joint keenness to further enhance them in all fields, praising the shining model of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty the King.

 

President Béji Caid Essebsi also praised the cooperation between the Tunisian Institute for Strategic Studies (ITES) and the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies in keeping with the events and changes taking place in the region that require the rallying of ranks and joint action.

 

For his part, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Derasat” expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Tunisian President’s keenness to strengthen relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the close cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields, including the field of strategic research and studies, as a model for fraternal relations.

 

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees highlighted to the emphasis placed by His Majesty the King on the role of the Arab thought centers in proposing effective and practical strategies to meet security challenges and promote moderation and tolerance, and which the decision makers can benefit from in the decision-making process.

 

Dr. Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa expressed his pride in the cooperation between “Derasat” and the Tunisian Institute for Strategic Studies in light of the strong brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Tunisia. Such cooperation will further enhance the coordination of policies in the pursuit of real partnership between the two institutions for the good and the benefit of all, and to help promote peace and stability throughout the region.
