The island of ‘Fasht Dibal’ was under Bahrain’s territorial control until Qatari troops descended on the island in 1986.
DERASAT has recently published a new book highlighting this act of Qatari aggression towards Bahrain, which caused a diplomatic dispute and saw ‘Fasht Dibal’ awarded to Qatar and the ‘Hawar Islands’ handed to Bahrain.
The book was launched in Bahrain on 4th April, 2018 and again in Egypt at the Al Ahram Center for Strategic Studies on 17th April, 2018
