Derasat Center CEO discusses knowledge partnership and research cooperation with U.S. Ambassador

Mr. Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed, CEO of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), received Her Excellency Ambassador Stephanie Hallett.
The meeting featured a roundtable discussion attended by several Derasat researchers, and members of the Embassy, during which Bahrain-U.S. relations were discussed to further enhance cooperation between Derasat Center and the U.S. Embassy in areas related to studies, research, and the exchange of expertise.
Participants also discussed prospects for cooperation with U.S. think tanks and research institutions, building on existing partnerships and MoUs. The discussions covered a range of issues of common interest.
H.E Ambassador Hallett highlighted the importance of think tanks in fostering constructive dialogue and knowledge exchange. She praised Derasat’s research presence and intellectual contributions to strategic and development issues, expressing her aspiration to further strengthen cooperation with the Center in the coming period, and linking researchers and think tanks in both countries.
Mr. Alahmed reaffirmed Derasat’s commitment to advancing its research partnerships with leading U.S. think tanks, contributing to enriched knowledge production, the exchange of expertise, and the development of rigorous analytical perspectives that deepen mutual understanding of geopolitical, economic, and technological transformations. He noted that the meeting reflects the importance of knowledge-based partnership between the two sides, and represents an additional step toward strengthening research cooperation and intellectual dialogue between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States.
