The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), held a coordination meeting to follow up on the progress of preparing the National Human Development Report 2027, titled “Digital Transformation in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” prepared in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Derasat CEO Mr. Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed met with Ms. Asma Shalabi, UNDP Resident Representative to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Mr. Hatem Abdulhameed Hatem, Head of  Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in addition to several members. The meeting reviewed the preparatory stages completed so far, and discussed the next steps and coordination mechanisms with the relevant entities.

The CEO affirmed that the report represents the fruit of an effective national and international partnership, aiming to provide a comprehensive analytical reading of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s experience in digital transformation, monitor opportunities and challenges, and formulate practical recommendations that enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading regional model in harnessing technology to serve people and development. Ms. Asma Shalabi expressed her appreciation for the remarkable level of coordination, affirming that the report embodies a distinguished model of partnership between national institutions and international organizations, and contributes to providing analytical insights that support evidence-based policymaking.
