The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) hosted number of trainees from the National Institute for Human Rights, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation and foster the exchange of knowledge and expertise among national institutions.

NIHR trainees met with the Center’s Director of Studies and Research, Dr. Omar Ahmad Al-Ubaydli, and Researcher Ali Ebrahim Faqeeh, where they were briefed on the essential role of rigorous scientific research in supporting policymaking and informed decision-making. The delegation also reviewed Derasat’s key publications, along with its strategic and economic studies that contribute to the development and advancement of various sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the visit, Head of the Opinion Polls and Statistics Department, Mr. Ahmed Abdulhameed Al-Ammadi, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the department’s methodologies and operations. He highlighted the most notable opinion polls and field surveys recently conducted by Derasat, which provide valuable insights into societal trends and equip decision-makers with accurate and reliable indicators.

The visit underscores Derasat’s commitment to promoting a culture of research and empowering young national talents by providing them with the skills and tools required to understand field research methodologies and strategic analysis.
