The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) participated in the Trends Research & Advisory International Strategic Dialogue, represented by Dr. Omar Al-Ubaydli, Director of Studies and Research. The dialogue, titled “The War in the Middle East: Regional and International Implications and Future Trajectories”, recently organized through video call by Trends Research & Advisory in Abu Dhabi. The event brought together several regional and international experts to discuss geopolitical developments related to the ongoing conflict and its implications for regional stability, global markets, and international security.

Dr. Omar Al-Ubaydli participated in the second session titled “Global Implications: Economic Shocks, Energy Markets, and End-of-Conflict Scenarios.” The session examined the broader economic and strategic repercussions of the war beyond the scope of military operations. Discussions addressed the potential disruption of energy markets, shifts in international trade routes, inflationary pressures, and risks that could threaten global financial stability. Participants also explored possible diplomatic paths and reviewed different scenarios for how the conflict might end and what these outcomes could mean for the Middle East and the international order.
