Derasat’s CEO participates in the 2025 MEDays Forum in the Kingdom of Morocco
The CEO of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), Mr. Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed, participated in the 17th edition of the MEDays Forum2025, held in the city of Tangier, Kingdom of Morocco, under the theme: “Divisions and Polarization: Reinventing the Global Equation.” The forum was held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco, with broad participation from heads of state and government, decision-makers, and experts from around the world. The MEDays Forum is considered a leading global intellectual dialogue platform on international political and economic issues. It is organized annually by the Amadeus Institute of Morocco and brings together more than 300 speakers and around 7,000 participants from over 100 countries.
During his participation in the session “The Hidden Battlefield: Hybrid Wars and the Politics of Influence,” the CEO of Derasat highlighted the rapid transformations in the nature of modern conflict, noting that confrontation is no longer confined to military domains but has expanded into the cyber, informational, and economic spheres, where advanced technologies and narratives are used as tools of influence and destabilization. He emphasized that addressing hybrid threats requires stronger regional cooperation and enhanced digital defense capabilities, noting that the Kingdom of Bahrain presents an advanced model through its national resilience initiatives and its commitment to diplomacy and good governance, grounded in the conviction that stability is the basis of development and sustainable security. He affirmed that Bahrain’s non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for 2026–2027 offers an important opportunity to deepen dialogue and support regional and international stability.
On the sidelines of the forum, meetings were also held with a number of heads of research and study centers, international institutions, and organizations, during which areas of mutual interest were discussed.
