Dr. Mohammed Bin Shams currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Bahrain, and serves as Head of the Department. His responsibilities include delivering engineering education, providing academic supervision to students, and contributing to applied scientific research in multiple areas such as industrial process optimization, data analytics, and applications of chemical engineering in energy, water, and related sectors.
He has participated in a range of professional and academic initiatives and appears regularly in educational and engineering publications and events, reflecting his commitment to advancing engineering education and strengthening university–industry engagement. He has also been elected as a member of an executive council of a major engineering society division, highlighting his leadership role within the local engineering community.
His research interests include the production of numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers based on data analysis and applied engineering techniques, which are used to enhance the performance of industrial and engineering systems.
