Dr. Yousif Mohamed Mothanna is the Director of Cyber Governance at the National Cybersecurity Center, where he leads national initiatives in cybersecurity governance, policy formulation, strategic planning, and cyber defense. He has contributed to the formulation of national, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and Arab cybersecurity strategies. He has also led the development of cybersecurity controls across national critical infrastructure sectors. Dr. Yusuf is leading many national initiatives, including the development and implementation of a National Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Framework. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at the Information and e-Government Authority and the Central Informatics Organization, where he developed the Government Information Security Framework, supervised government-wide security awareness initiatives, and information security policies. Alongside his executive role, Dr. Yusuf is also an active academic and researcher, focusing on cybersecurity, digital forensics, and cyber risk management. He has published in reputable international journals and at conferences, and contributes to many cybersecurity academic programs.
