The Middle East Military Conference (MEMTEC) held October 29th and 30th October, 2019 focused on the impacts of technological advances with regards, to simulation, cyber defence and artificial intelligence for future warfare.
LNG: Powering Progress
This Think Talk highlighted the LNG sector from a local and international perspective, discussing the latest developments and the role LNG plays in the global energy mix and future prospects.
Workshop – Perspectives on the Safe Return of Syrian Refugees
The workshop, held on 5th September 2019, aimed at presenting the situation of the refugees in host countries as well the conditions inside Syria and whether those conditions permit a sustainable return. More importantly, the workshop presented a platform for Western countries to clarify their position on the return of the refugees.
South-South Global Thinkers
Sound academic dialogue to achieve intellectual communication between researchers and thinkers in Southern countries is required to support development issues noted Chairman of DERASAT, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla Al-Khalifa, in a meeting of The South-South Global Thinkers: the Global Coalition of Think Tank Networks for South-South Cooperation.

Seminar: Investment opportunities in oil and gas
The Bahrain Economic Association (BEA) organized a seminar on Tuesday 18th June, 2019, entiled, ‘What are the best investments in the oil and gas sector during the next five years?’. which was moderated by Dr. Omar Al Ubaydli, Deputy Chairman of the Association and Research Director at DERASAT.
