The Executive Director of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat), Mr. Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed, met with H.E. Mr. Luigi Di Maio, the European Union’s Special Representative for the Gulf Region, on the sidelines of the Gulf Research Center Meeting organized by the Gulf Research Center hosted by the University of Cambridge.
Both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of integration between Gulf and European think tanks in supporting decision-makers and keeping pace with regional and international developments.
The Executive Director stressed that linking security and development and activating foresight tools represent an effective entry point to strengthen mutual strategic dialogue. Mr. Di Maio, in turn, highlighted the important role played by “Derasat” in providing analytical insights that contribute to regional stability.
