Minister of Transport and Communications, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of “Studies”: “The Year of Isa al-Kabeer” is a noble royal vision to preserve the national historical identity and sustain the march of construction and development.
His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DRES) and the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, praised the royal decree issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, to designate this year as “The Year of Isa Al-Kabeer,” in recognition of the founder of the modern state and leader of the institutional renaissance in the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Majesty Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Al-Kabeer, may God rest his soul.
His Excellency explained that the royal initiative to commemorate the life of Isa the Great embodies the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, may God protect and preserve him, in preserving the national memory and deepening the awareness of new generations of the rich history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, It also serves to recall the milestones that laid the foundations for the establishment of the modern state and its institutions, and to consolidate its noble values on solid foundations of wisdom, moderation, good governance, justice, and the rule of law, thereby enhancing the Kingdom’s standing and active presence in its regional and international environment as a model for supporting security, peace, stability, and development.
His Excellency the Minister added that the comprehensive development achievements witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty the King, may God protect and preserve him, and with the guidance and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, represent a historical extension of the authentic approach established by His Highness Sheikh Isa Al-Kabeer bin Ali Al Khalifa, may God rest his soul, and after him, our fathers and forefathers, in establishing security, stability, and prosperity, reflecting the integration of the vision between the past and the present, and embodying the spirit of wise leadership as a continuous approach in building a modern state, strengthening its institutions, and consolidating its position at all levels.
His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa affirmed that the designation of “The Year of Isa Al-Kabeer” represents a prominent national milestone that reflects the wisdom of the leadership and the unity and cohesion of the loyal Bahraini people in all its components in taking pride in its rich history, cultural and civilizational identity, and adherence to the values of belonging, loyalty, tolerance, and coexistence, as fundamental pillars for consolidating security and social stability, continuing the process of construction and modernization, and sustaining comprehensive development achievements, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, may God protect and preserve him, and with the support and guidance of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect and preserve them.
