Renewable Energy in the Middle East and North Africa Region
An analyst at the Abdullah Issa Al-Abbasi Center for Studies participated in the preparation of a recent study published by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation and the United Nations Development Program, which was launched at the BAPA + 40 conference held on March 19, 2019.
The study, entitled “South-South Ideas: Renewable Energy in the Middle East and North Africa Region – Possibilities and Limits” (2019), “Four studies on Algeria, Benin, Morocco, and Tunisia aim to contribute to understanding what determines renewable energy demand by analyzing the contribution of financial development, international trade, oil prices, and carbon dioxide emissions to renewable energy demand, with a focus on countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.”
