The CEO of the “Studies” Center meets with a number of assistant secretaries-general at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council

Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ahmad, CEO of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DRASAT), discussed ways to enhance research cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides on November 7, 2021, in line with the directions confirmed by the Al-Sakhir Declaration of the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the GCC (Bahrain Summit), which emphasized the role of research centers in forecasting the future, formulating public policies, and supporting sustainable development.
In this context, the CEO of the “Studies” Center met with His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Owaishq, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Negotiations at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, where the meeting addressed the role of research centers in supporting knowledge integration paths in line with the directions confirmed by the Bahrain Summit, and the role played by the Studies Center in this context, based on the memorandum of understanding signed with the General Secretariat, through its studies, research, and events.
The CEO of the “Studies” Center also met with His Excellency Sultan bin Nasser Al Suwaidi, Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative and Legal Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council, where the meeting addressed the institutional and executive aspects of the existing cooperation, which was reinforced by the joint memorandum of understanding, and discussed mechanisms for developing joint research and launching knowledge initiatives that serve the priorities of the GCC countries.
This institutional approach comes in the context of the status enjoyed by the Studies Center as one of the leading research centers in the Gulf in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the GCC.
