Derasat offers a number of exciting membership opportunities that aim to give our valued supporters the opportunity to be an integral part of the academic and research community in Bahrain, a key partner in the Center’s undertakings and highlighted as a strategic supporter of its initiatives.
As a think tank dedicated to encouraging the use of research and dialogue to inform policy makers and interest groups and to increase understanding of current and emerging international issues, we have a number of programs that engage with a vast network of think tanks around the globe that have relevance to Bahrain’s sustainable and peaceful development.
Membership with Derasat gives access to a number of opportunities, foremost amongst them is the use of our state of the art facilities and first-hand access to our studies and research to inform your own organizations and communities.

About the Derasat Library
The DERASAT Library provides support and information to researchers, students and the general public with hundreds of titles to choose from under themes such as strategic, security, international, economic, finance, business, communications and energy studies. Valuable and new content in the fields of social sciences, technology, history and geography are being added all the time.
Derasat’s library provides access to a world of information, online and in print. Set in a state-of-the-art facility including private study rooms, computer labs, quiet zones for reading, a coffee area and a community room for events. As a member you can enjoy access to an international digital library that you can explore from your own computer or from the computers available in the library.
The location offers free access to computers that you can use to search our online resources, connect to the internet and use your Library card to search the available books for borrowing.
Need access without a membership? You can use any photo ID to have restricted access to the Library on a temporary basis.
Need a private room with a computer for a video call or online meeting? The Derasat facilities have rooms with equipment you can use. Find out more about meeting and study rooms and how to reserve one.
