Derasat’s Participation in the Trends Virtual Book Fair
Derasat is participated at the Trends Virtual Book Fair, which is was held from January 24th to 7th February, 2021.
DERASAT’s Library provides support and information to researchers, students and the general public with thousands of non-fiction titles to choose from, and a book collection specialized in themes such as strategic, security, international, economic, finance, business, communications, energy, technology, law, history & geography and education.
The library provides access to a world of information set in a state-of-the-art facility including quiet zones for reading, a computer lab and a cafe.
Any photo ID can be shown in order to use the library free of charge during opening hours, however, borrowing privileges are member benefits only.

As part of a strategy to activate partnership agreement, members of the Shura Council visited the Derasat library for presentations on the research department and library activities.
Members of the Bahrain Library and Information Association (BLIA) were introduced to the Derasat Library and BLIA’s Chairman, Mr. Ali Al Mubarak, discussed the potentials of joint collaboration in the fields of librarianship, information technology and research.
Derasat Library Specialist, Eman Abdulqader, participated in the Advisory Committee for the National Diploma in Learning Resources and Information, which aims to contribute to generating skills that can improve services for learning resource centers and libraries in Bahrain.
Derasat Librarian, Eman Adulqader, attended the Sharjah International Library Conference on the side lines of the Sharjah International Book Fair that brought together librarians and library experts from around the world to discuss latest technologies and concepts in library management.
