As the coronavirus rapidly spread around the world, Bahrain, as a small island-state with a high population density, enacted an early prevention and preparation phase creating a ‘National Taskforce to Combat COVID-19′. In his recent article in OurWorld magazine, Dr. Sh. Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of Derasat, summarizes Bahrain’s response, highlighting the important role attributed to teamwork across all segments of society, and to the crucial role of transparency in information being disseminated through the press and social media.
