Iraqis Accuse U.S. Of Helping ISIS: Terror Army Called ‘Tool at the Hands of the United States’

WASHINGTON – The U.S.-led coalition against Saddam Hussein a decade ago spent hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives. Now, in a new twist, Iraqi parliamentarians have accused the United States and its Western allies of helping the terror army ISIS by secretly dropping arms to prolong the conflict, according to a new report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

The U.S. rationale allegedly is to get the Iraqi government to allow American bases in the ISIS-occupied areas in the provinces of Mosul and Anbar where Sunnis dominate.

Iraqi Member of Parliament Majid al-Gharaoui claims to have intelligence to “prove” that U.S. aircraft have been supplying ISIS, also known as ISIL, in Mosul, Anbar and also in Salahuddin province.

“The U.S.is trying to expand the time of the war against the ISIL to get guarantees from the Iraqi government to have its bases in Mosul and Anbar provinces,” Gharaoui said.

Gharaoui’s charge follows an accusation by another senior Iraqi lawmaker, Nahlah al-Hababi, that the U.S. is seeking to perpetuate ISIS’ presence through secret airdrops of weapons to the Sunni jihadi fighters.

“The international coalition is not serious about air strikes on ISIL terrorists,” Hababi claimed, “and is even seeking to take out the popular voluntary forces from the battlefield against the Takfiris (infidels) so that the problem with ISIL remains unsolved in the near future.”

Charges of U.S. covert assistance to ISIS were echoed by the chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy committee, who claimed “U.S. military advisers” were captured while aiding ISIS.

“The capture of the American advisers by the Iraqi army leaves no doubt that ISIL has been created by the U.S.,” Alaeddin Boroujerdi said.

Iraqi Special Forces reportedly had apprehended several foreign military advisers who included American, Israeli and Arab nationals in an operation near Mosul.

The Pentagon hasn’t yet confirmed to WND the reported capture of “U.S. military advisers” by ISIS.

But it’s not the first time stories have surfaced about ISIS.

Last year, a senior aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Israeli intelligence agents in Mossad of training ISIS fighters operating in Iraq and Syria. Alexander Prokhanov said Mossad is also likely to have transferred some of its spying experiences to the ISIS leadership, adding that Israel’s military advisers could be assisting ISIS fighters.

Even Prokhanov said at the time that ISIS was a byproduct of U.S. policies in the Middle East.

“ISIL is a tool at the hands of the United States,” Prokhanov said. “They tell the Europeans that if we (the Americans) do not intervene, ISIL will cause you harm.”
