The overall objective of the report titled ‘The State of Arab Cities Report 2022: Financing Urban Infrastructure to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda’ is to investigate the challenges encountering the urban economic and financial frameworks of Arab countries at the regional, national, and local levels, including how they have been impacted by COVID-19 and how to unleash their growth potential and stimulate their prosperity.

The book sheds light on several main themes related to the subject and its time period, including a brief overview of the political development of the Bahraini-British relationship starting from 1816, the view of British politicians on the work and contributions of the British adviser to the Government of Bahrain, Sir Charles Belgrave...

The book focuses on the most prominent maritime security threats to the Arab Gulf states and includes four chapters. The first chapter deals with the concept and dimensions of maritime security while determining the legal status of the Straits of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab and provides a historical analytical overview of the tanker war that took place in the Arabian Gulf region during the Iran-Iraq war in the eighties of the last century.

Derasat Center and the United Nations Development Programme published two research papers titled, "The Impact of COVID-19 on Women in Bahrain", and "Bahraini Women and Remote Work"; prepared by Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Ubaydli, Derasat Director of Studies and Research, and Ms. Deema Al-Moayyed, UNDP researcher.

The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) published a new issue of Derasat Journal, its biannual peer-reviewed scientific journal, which examined several strategic issues and developments in the Arabian Gulf region.

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence in the United Arab Emirates, the book “Bahrain-Emirati Strategic Partnership .. Legacy of the Past .. Challenges of the Future .. Future Opportunities” was launched.

The fifteenth issue of Derasat Journal includes a number of studies, namely the Bahraini industry strategy, the British-Bahraini partnership, and the New Mashreq Gathering, in addition to the analysis of Iranian missile capabilities, it also includes an important study on the issue of American redeployment in the world through several reports on that issue. It also sheds light on the visions of Western research centers.
