Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT) Board of Trustees’ Chairman Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa received International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) Director-General and Chief Executive Dr John Chipman. The meeting reviewed cooperation and the exchange of expertise in areas of shared interest and discussed the major topics of the upcoming edition of the Manama Dialogue. Shaikh Abdulla stressed the importance of further cooperation with the IISS think tank to promote strategic thinking and build research partnerships which focus on Bahrain and the region, within the context of opening up to the most important centres of international expertise, as Bahrain is a global leader in promoting peace, tolerance and sustainable development.
