In cooperation with the National Committee for Information, the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT), will organise a workshop on Thursday to consult with academics and those interested in sustainable development towards preparation of the First National Voluntary Report in Bahrain on the implementation of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal. In line with the guidelines of National Voluntary Reports, which emphasise the importance of engaging academics, civil society group, private sectors and stakeholders in formulating and writing voluntary reports, the workshop aims to focus all efforts, with active community sectors, on writing the first National Voluntary Report in Bahrain on the implementation of the SDGs, which will be presented and discussed during the the high-level Political Forum (HLPF) at the United Nations Economic and Social Council in July in New York.
