Derasat Annual Forum kicks off

Board of Trustees Chairman of Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has announced the centre’s launching of an initiative for research and intellectual solidarity and cooperation between think tanks in the world.
The initiative, themed “One Intellectual and Humanitarian Community”, aims to interconnect those centres and institutions to exchange data and visions as well as transfer experiences remotely in order to handle the economic, social and strategic repercussions resulting from the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa was speaking in the opening session of the 3rd edition of Derasat Annual Forum which kicked off remotely today under the theme “The Role of Think Tanks in Supporting National Efforts: Countering the Coronavirus Pandemic and Implications”. The forum attracted opinion leaders, experts and representatives of well-reputed think-tanks from the Gulf and Arab countries.
