Surveying Opinions of the Bahraini Society on Social Media
The survey helps identify chances for negative social media uses, aimed at spreading misleading or fake news, as well as news and intellectual materials that feed negative phenomena and trends, especially inducing sedition and sectarian strife. The survey follows how these malpractices spread with or without intention through social media; creating ammunition in data and information crucial in devising awareness programs to enhance the outputs of social media process. This helps provide users in Bahrain with the best practices using this unavoidable technology that increasingly affects all aspects of life, while avoiding negative effects that abuse the openness of the cyber domain to broadcast insidious and misleading messages, crafted by ill intentions using smart contexts, among Bahrainis.
