The Importance of Strategic Planning for Institutions and Nations

As part of the intellectual dialogues organized by the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International Studies, and Energy (Derasat), the center held a dialogue on October 11, 2023, entitled “The Role of Strategic Planning in the Work of Institutions.” This event included four significant contributions, some of which addressed the historical aspects of the topic, while others discussed practical experiences of how strategic planning influences the operations of institutions. The important discussions that arose from these contributions highlighted the fact that the subject of strategic planning has become a matter of interest for all countries around the world. While not entirely new, it has evolved along with human development. It is no longer limited to military and security aspects but has extended to encompass all aspects of life.
