Gulf-Iran relations are sometimes characterized by contradictions. In times when we witness numerous tensions in relations because of some controversial issues, we note that there are distinct economic relations between Iran and some Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This raises many questions, including, how does Iran view Gulf Security? And has this view changed especially after the temporary signing of the Nuclear Agreement between Iran and the P5+1 on November 24, 2013? It became clear, over the last decade, that the more Western pressure on Iran over its nuclear program increases, the greater the strain in Gulf-Iran relations. More importantly, what are the requirements to build confidence between the GCC and Iran?
