Towards an integrated strategy for maritime security in the Arab Gulf region

The threat to maritime security is increasing at an accelerated pace. Given the decline in the incidence of land wars, the lack of a binding international force that forces States to comply with international law on maritime rights, and the increase in maritime dependence on transport, and therefore maritime security, there must be more focus on national security strategies.
