Derasat’s latest ‘Think Talk’ was held on March 5th, 2020, titled: ‘Between the US and Finland: Different Educational Systems and Their Impacts on Developing Curricula’, which examined applicable factors to developing school education in Bahrain.

Improving productivity and competitiveness in the local economy was the topic of a Think Talk at Derasat by Mr. Ebrahim Al Tamimi, Director of Information at the Court of HRH the Prime Minister that took place on Wednesday 8th January, 2020.
This Think Talk highlighted the LNG sector from a local and international perspective, discussing the latest developments and the role LNG plays in the global energy mix and future prospects.
DERASAT was pleased to welcome Ms. Joyce Msuyu, UN Environment Acting Executive Director and Assistant Secretary General at the UN, for a Think Talk on the link between environmental sustainability and prosperity.
Dr. Robert Mogielnicki recently launched a long-term research initiative examining how technology shapes Gulf Arab governments and economies. He discussed the research to-date at ‘Think Talks by Derasat’ on Tuesday 14th May at 13.00hrs at the DERASAT premises.
Derasat Center held a Think Talk lecture on the role of intellectuals in change creation and management. The speakers were former President of the International Federation of Journalists, Jim Boumelha, member of the National Union of Journalists (UK & Ireland), and Muneer Zaroor, Director of Policies and Programs for the Arab World and Middle East at the IFJ.

DERASAT welcomed expert Khalil Tafakji, Head of the Mapping and Geographic Information department at the Arab Studies Society for a talk on historical documentation of truth and reality.
DERASAT in partnership with the US Embassy, Bahrain, welcomed Cathy Allen for a talk and discussion on current research regarding the role of women in leadership and the impacts on the wider community at 10.30am on Weds. 27th March.
