Donating organs has many societal and health benefits that can save the lives of numerous patients suffering from kidney, liver, lung, and other diseases requiring organ transplantation. This helps alleviate their suffering and pain, planting a new seed of hope within them. Organ donation is a controversial topic in Bahraini society, with dimensions spanning health, religious, and social aspects. To support political decisions and provide statistical data reflecting Bahraini society’s opinions on this matter, the idea of a survey by the “Studies” center emerged.
The survey targeted a representative sample of Bahraini society, including males and females, totaling 1,350 individuals. It was conducted from August to September 2022, comprising 12 questions with the following objectives:
- Measure and evaluate the society’s culture regarding human organ donation.
- Assess the society’s stance on human organ donation.
- Gauge the society’s opinion on establishing a specialized center for organ transplantation.
