Derasat strives to hold diverse events that give a mixture of formal and informal platforms to researchers and policy makers for the discussion of ideas and trending topics relevant to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region.
Derasat Center hosted Mr. Chung Hae Kwan, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Bahrain for a Think Talk titled “Optimal use of WTO dispute settlement system: The Korean experience as a model’, on Wednesday 22 March 2023, to an audience of Derasat officials and partners, with representatives of interested parties at the center’s headquarters in Al-Awali.
On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) held a book launch event for the publication, "Shaikh Hamad bin Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ruler of Bahrain 1932-1942 News and Press Coverage", by the late researcher Saqr bin Abdullah Al-Maawda, the book constitutes a qualitative effort in portraying the achievements of the late His Majesty Sheikh Hamad bin Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, by analyzing the content of what was published by the local and foreign press about his rule in that era.
On Tuesday morning, March 14, 2023, the Gulf Academy for Strategic and Security Studies visited Derasat Center headed by Rear Admiral Tariq Khalfan Abdullah Al Zaabi, who was visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain, accompanied by a group a group of Academy leaders representing the Arab Gulf countries, and they were received upon their arrival at the Center's headquarters by Dr. Hamad Ebrahim Al-Abdullah, Executive Director, Derasat Directors, and a number of its affiliates.
The "Second Bahraini-Omani Forum entitled " Challenges of Food Security and Mechanisms of Bilateral Cooperation to Address Them" was hosted by the Bahrain Center for Strategic and International Energy Studies "Derasat", on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the Center's headquarters in Awali.
A Think Talk titled “Societal Culture and the Importance of Psychological Care” was organized by the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies “Derasat” which highlighted borderline personality disorder on March 12th, 2023 at the center’s headquarters in Al-Awali.
